Man and two children are killed in a house fire near Brisbane

  • Three people are dead after a house fire in Kingaroy, north of Brisbane 
  • Emergency services responded to the blaze around 1pm on Saturday
  • A man and two children perished and woman and third child taken to hospital
  • Fire is being treated as suspicious until a full investigation is conducted

A man and two children have been killed in a house fire in Kingaroy, north west of Brisbane.

Emergency services responded to reports of a fire at the property around 1pm, and the structure was already engulfed in flames when police arrived.

One man and two children are believed to have been inside at the time of the fire and were found dead at the scene.

A woman and child have been transported to Kingaroy Hospital.

The house continues to smoulder and is too hot for police to conduct a full inspection of the premises in order to ascertain the cause.     

The fire is being treated as suspicious until it is deemed otherwise.
