A man enjoying a peaceful paragliding session was interrupted by an aggressive and territorial magpie which repeatedly swooped him mid-air.
Extraordinary footage shows the pesky magpie fly circles around the paraglider as he soared above the mountains in Bright, Victoria’s alpine region.
The threatening bird refused to leave the man alone as he gently drifted through the air, and at one point flew dangerously close to his face.

During his three-minute flight the same magpie circled menacingly above him, darting in and out of the camera’s view as it swooped.
The man appears less than impressed with the unwanted company on his paragliding journey and can be heard cooing at the bird to usher it away.
‘Oh my god, get out of here,’ he can be heard saying in the GoPro footage.
A second magpie then appears and joins its friend in terrorising the lone paraglider.
After several minutes of unsuccessfully trying to avoid the angry birds, the man slowly drifts back down and lands in a paddock.
