Man charged with stabbing a teen in Sydney’s Kings Cross

  • A man, 18, was found in driveway suffering from multiple stab wounds on Sunday
  • Police set up a crime scene found a knife in nearby Harmer St in Woolloomooloo 
  • A 23-year-old man was arrested and charged over the attack on Monday 

A man has been charged over the stabbing of another man near Sydney’s Kings Cross over the weekend.

An 18-year-old man was found with serious arm and leg injuries in the driveway of a Woolloomooloo home about 11.45pm on Sunday. 

A 23-year-old man was arrested at an Ultimo apartment on Monday afternoon and charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and possessing a prohibited drug.

He was refused bail and is due to appear in Central Local Court on Tuesday.

The teenager was treated at the scene before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.      

Police searched the surrounding area after the attack and found a knife in nearby Harmer Street, which was seized for forensic examination. 

The stabbing occurred a short distance from the Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf area, home to some of Sydney’s most exclusive restaurants and boutique hotels.
