Man exposed for drunken one-night-stand on Blackpool beach says woman KNEW he had a girlfriend

The love rat who was publicly dumped by his girlfriend after he had sex with a woman on Blackpool beach today said he is ‘paying for his drunken mistake’.

Ben ‘Banjo’ Green was unmasked on social media when a viral tweet asked people to identify the man who’d had sex with a woman while on holiday, despite being in a relationship. 

Mr Green was then dumped on Facebook by his heartbroken girlfriend Kayleigh. 

Speaking to MailOnline, Mr Green said he regretted the infidelity but claims the woman he slept ‘chatted him up and got her way’ even after he had shown her a picture of his partner.

Ben was named on Twitter by a friend of the woman who had sex with. 

She tweeted: ‘If your boyfriend is called Ben from Chesterfield and he was in Blackpool last night, he sh****d my mate on the beach and only told her this morning he had a girlfriend.’

But Mr Green told MailOnline he made clear he was in a relationship, adding the girls ‘knew what they were doing’.

He said: ‘Yes I’m the Ben in the tweets unfortunately!

‘My side of the story is that bird knew i had a girlfriend after i showed her a picture of her while she was trying to chat me up! 

‘Unfortunately i got really drunk and she got her way! Then her mate decided she wanted a bit of twitter fame and posted that tweet! 

‘That’s my story i f****d up, im paying for it now but it was just a drunken mistake that i regret and them birds knew exactly what they was doing!!’

Twitter user ‘Ivana’ posted details of the beach tryst which amassed more than 5,300 retweets and 1,300 likes.

Ivana then posted screenshots of conversations with her friend, who says: ‘Had sex on beach last night and the guy literally wants to meet me this morning. kill me now pls.’

Another asks: ‘Weren’t you cold?’ and she adds: ‘F*****g freezing to death.’ 

Some social media users started the hashtag ‘#justiceforben’.

A text conversation allegedly between Ben and a friend about the viral posts were then revealed and show him laughing about how widespread it had become online.

The communication ends with Ben writing: ‘I’m f***ed! Well I’m definitely single now haha.’

A woman claiming to be Ms Bettney’s mother retweeted Ivana’s post, adding her ‘daughter was in bits’.

She then posted messages between ‘Ben’ and the woman in he had sex with, in which he says: ‘Hope you got home okay, was nice to meet you!

‘The sex was great, I had fun with you! Shame I’m probably never going to see you again.

‘I’m going to have to delete your number for obvious reasons. Goodbye and look after yourself xxx’
