Investigation launched after man falls to his death while washing windows at Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas

  • Las Vegas Metropolitan Police were called to the scene at 12.30pm Wednesday
  • Witnesses saw the man fall from an unknown height, landing on a parking garage
  • The victim, whose name has not been released, was transported to University Medical Center Trauma where he was pronounced dead

A man fell to his death while washing windows on the exterior of the Trump International Hotel Las Vegas, authorities say.  

Officers were called to the scene just after 12.30pm local time Wednesday, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.  

The victim, whose name has not been released, was transported to University Medical Center Trauma where he was pronounced dead. 

Witnesses say they saw the man land on a parking structure, though it is unclear how far the fall was, according to Fox5.

In a statement issued Wednesday the Trump Organization said: ‘We are deeply saddened to learn of the incident today. 

‘We are working diligently with the owner of the third party company to investigate the details. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and his family.’

Nevada’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration agency said it is investigating the incident.  

‘Nevada OSHA was notified of the fatality. We’ve dispatched officials to the hotel to conduct an investigation. More details will be released after an investigation is completed,’ an OSHA spokesperson said Wednesday.

The agency’s investigation could take up to six months, according to the spokesperson.
