A man took fishing to a whole new level as he stood on top of a car in a crocodile-infested creek. 

Footage shows the barefoot man standing on the roof of the white Audi after it had crashed into the creek in Far North Queensland.

The man managed to hold his rod and balance on top of the car as it floated in the murky and dangerous water.

The clip, which was obtained by 7News, has been viewed more than 96,000 times. 

Social media users enjoyed the short clip and commended the man for his dedication to fishing. 

‘I drove past this guy today. Legend,’ one wrote.

‘Did he catch anything,’ someone asked.

‘So funny… the croc’s probably not hungry anymore because whoever crashed the car was quite a tasty treat,’ another commented.
