Man in his 20s is fighting for his life after being stabbed in east London

  • Man in his mid-20s left in critical condition after incident on Sandringham Road 
  • Another man, believed to be 19,  stabbed in hand in Porters Avenue, Dagenham
  • Both incidents being linked with crime scenes in place and enquiries continue
  • Two men been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following incident

A man has been left in critical condition after two people were stabbed in east London today. 

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after police were called to one scene in Barking at 4.24pm on Sandringham Road. 

The man in his mid-20s has been taken to an east London hospital after paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance Service attended.

Officers were also called to a stabbing in Porters Avenue, Dagenham, after a male, believed to be 19, was knifed in the hand.   

Both incidents are being linked with crime scenes in place and enquiries continue.

A Metropolitan police spokeswoman said: ‘Police were called at 4.24pm on Sunday, 16 February to Sandringham Road, Barking, to reports of a stabbing. 

‘London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance also attended.

‘The victim, a man in his mid-20s, has been taken to an east London hospital.

‘His condition is critical. Two males (no further details) have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. A crime scene is in place and enquiries continue.
