Man is arrested for horrific California realtor attack caught on camera

Alen Karaboghosian, 45, is being booked on various charges including assault with a deadly weapon

A man has been in connection with a violent attack on a real estate agent in southern California over the weekend.

The LAPD say Alen Karaboghosian, 45, was taken into custody Tuesday night and is being booked on various charges including assault with a deadly weapon.

Authorities say ‘bodily force’ is considered a deadly weapon.

Police ended up receiving more information to assist their inquiries after two more women came forward with disturbingly similar accounts of an encounter with the man.

During Sunday’s incident which happened in the Encino neighborhood, a 51-year-old woman was attacked and groped in an assault that was all caught on surveillance video.

The woman was hosting an open house when the man, posing as a prospective client, shoved her to the ground before groping her breasts in the violent midday attack.

The woman, who asked that her name be withheld, said she recognized the man who attacked her because he had come to her open house the previous week and was acting strangely and inappropriately.

The realtor with the company with Keller Williams, who asked not to be named or have her face shown on TV, told KTLA there was something about the man that made her wary, so she stayed outside the house with him in full view of a surveillance camera.

After making some small talk with the woman, the man looked directly into the camera and smiled, then shook the realtor’s hand, as if preparing to leave.

A second later, he suddenly shoved her in the chest, causing the woman to fall backward onto a patch of grass in the front yard.

In the video, the woman is heard screaming in terror as the attacker runs towards her, bends down and is seen groping her breasts before fleeing on foot.

‘I started screaming before he even pushed me because I had a feeling something was coming,’ she told the station in an emotional interview.

The victim was left with bruises and scrapes on her left knee, and suffering from emotional trauma.

She said she has been replaying the brutal attack in her mind and that it still haunts her.

‘I see him all the time. He’s in front of him,’ the woman said through sobs. ‘I didn’t sleep last night. I can see his eyes. I can see him looking at me. I can see how he’s gonna attack me. It’s like a movie playing and playing and playing, and i can’t get it to stop.’

The victim said she plans to return to work, but from now on she will only show houses together with a male co-worker.

The suspect has been seen in the neighborhood by other realtors and may be a resident of Encino.

One agent, who asked to remain anonymous, told NBC Los Angeles that she recognized him after watching the video and seeing him take his hat off.

During an open house last June, the man started to ask the agent personal questions.

The woman said she became concerned when after asking him to leave, the man tried to hug her.

The agent said she pushed Karaboghosian away and he grabbed her chest before fleeing.

One week later, the woman saw him riding a bike back and forth in front of a house she was showing.

The woman recorded a video of the suspicious behavior but did not believe it was clear enough for cops to identify him and so she did not file a police report.

‘He kind of freaked me out,’ said another agent, who did not want to be identified, to CBS LA. ‘He left and came back to give me an orange. As he came back to give me the orange, he hugged me and then his hand went over my breast, and it really freaked me out.’

Karaboghosian’s bail has been set at $130,000.
