A man has died after a shooting in north London, where police have arrested three males on suspicion of murder.

Officers were called to reports of a man suffering a gunshot wound in Edmonton, Enfield at around 9.15pm on Tuesday. 

The victim, whose age is not yet known, was pronounced dead at the scene at 10.10pm. 

The man’s death is the 126th murder in the capital this year, after an 18-year-old boy was killed in Eltham last Tuesday.

There were no reports of any other injuries at the scene, as police, including armed officers, were pictured attending the incident in social media posts. 

A Met Police spokesman told MailOnline: ‘Police were called by London Ambulance Service at approximately 21:15hrs on Tuesday, 18 December to reports of a man suffering a gunshot wound. 

‘Officers, including firearms officers, attended the scene. 

‘The victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 22:10hrs. 

‘No reports of any other injuries. Three males were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. Cordons remain in place. Enquiries continue.’
