He then used the Google Translate app on his cellphone to translate his Spanish into English and tell his victim that she looked pretty and to warn her to not tell anyone what had happened, warrants say.

Police were called to a Wake County high school at 7.35 am after the girl reported the rape off Pearces Road north of Zebulon.

The Wake County Sheriff’s Office picked up Emandes-Ramirez later that same day, after the victim told investigators the man was called ‘Victor.’ Video surveillance showed the girl getting out of a vehicle matching the suspect’s Hyundai Sonata.

The suspect was wearing white pants with paint on them at the time, she told police.

The victim’s father told WRAL that news of the assault on his daughter was distressing.

‘It was one of the worst phone calls you could ever get and one of the hardest things to deal with. We’re going to get through it. It’s just tough, it really is, but my main goal is to try to make her better,’ he said.

‘It could have gone a lot of different ways, but luckily, the sheriff got him before I did. I hope he gets life in prison, and I hope he gets tortured every day of his life.’
