A man was killed when he ran into highway traffic after demanding to be let off a Greyhound bus, and stripping naked in front of shocked passengers.
Chauncey W. Kyles, 33, of Macon, Georgia, had become agitated and demanded the driver pull over and let him off the bus, Virginia State Police said.
He then ‘struck the front windshield with enough force to crack it’ and took off his clothes, the Richmond Times Dispatch reports.
The driver, who police say acted for the ‘safety of other passengers,’ pulled over to let him off on the I-95 highway in Prince George County, Virginia.
Kyles then ran around the back of the bus and raced into the northbound lane where a 2012 Kia Sportage hit and killed him at 11.27pm on Thursday.
The driver, a woman from Midlothian who has not been named, was unable to avoid Kyles, police say, and has not been charged.
Witnesses said the man’s body was run over by multiple vehicles, including an 18 wheeler truck.
A Greyhound spokeswoman confirmed the bus was travelling from Miami to New York, when speaking to the Dispatch, but did not confirm where Kyles boarded.

There were 49 passenger on the bus, who were later spoken to by a chaplain.
They later carried on their journey in a second bus with another driver.
Greyhound did not confirm what the safety protocol was for letting passengers off a bus before their confirmed destination.
All lanes of the I-95 were closed for several hours following the accident.

Crystal Booker, a spokesperson from Greyhound, told the Dispatch: ‘Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by yesterday’s incident.
‘We will continue to support the authorities on this matter.’
One person aboard the Greyhound bus told WTVR: ‘You never know who’s going to do it, who’s going to flip out, you know this boy was tripping.’
Since the tragic death, one mourner wrote to the family of Kyles, ‘To my blood I love y’all I’m sorry… I’m here,f this FB s*** if you need me let me know.’
