Man says Fenty foundation restored his wife’s confidence

A husband has praised Rihanna’s Fenty foundation for restoring his wife’s confidence, after she became reluctant to leave the house due to scarring on her face.

The man, named Daryl and based in Middle Island, New York, wrote a touching review on Fenty’s website, detailing how the brand’s Pro Filt’r foundation helped his wife Jeannelle cope with the effects of cutaneous lupus erythematosus, a condition that can create lesions on the neck, face and upper back.

Jeannelle, according to Daryl, had tried many other make-up products to cover up the scars, to no avail—which is why Fenty’s foundation became a game changer for her.

‘My wife has cutaneous lupus erythematosus and we have tried EVERY make-up brand to try to cover up her pigmentation variations and scarring of her skin,’ Daryl wrote.

‘NOTHING has worked as well as this Fenty foundation.’

Daryl then thanked Rihanna for her beauty range, which the singer released last year to much acclaim.

Fenty especially received rave reviews for its inclusive range of foundations, made up of shades that can fit a wide spectrum of complexions.

The foundation, according to Daryl, who has been married to Jeannelle for 16 years, has helped her ‘regain some of her confidence and helped her with her reluctance to leave our home due to her skin imperfections’.

Daryl attached two photos of Jeannelle to his review—one that shows Jeannelle without make-up and one in which she wears the foundation, beaming with happiness as she and Daryl head out to celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary.

‘I hope this message reaches Rihanna so she knows how much she is helping the love of my life get through the struggle of her affliction,’ Daryl added.

In September last year, several people with albinism took to social media to rave about Fenty’s foundations, praising the brand for finally providing them with shades matching their very pale skin tones.

Rihanna has made it clear that she created Fenty with a firm intent to make her beauty range as inclusive as possible.

‘Foundation is one of those areas in the beauty industry that has a big void for women at extreme ends of the shade spectrum,’ she previously said in a statement. ‘There’s this middle ground that’s covered really, really well.

‘But then if you’re very pale or if you’re very dark, there aren’t a lot of options. And so, I wanted to make sure that women of all skin tones were covered so they could be included in what I created.’
