A man has been rushed to hospital in serious condition after being shot in the face. 

NSW Ambulance said they responded to reports of a shooting at a Fitness First on West Botany Street in Rockdale, in Sydney’s South, on Thursday. 

The man, who is reportedly a senior crime figure, went into cardiac arrest and was taken St George’s Hospital, according to The Daily Telegraph.
