Nobody was able to hear him calling out for help and it wasn’t until his sister visited him last Friday that she discovered her brother, still conscious, but severely dehydrated.

Emergency services rushed to the scene to liberate his head from the stepladder and he was taken to hospital in the nearby town of Epinal.

He underwent checks on his head which had suffered reduced blood flow throughout the ordeal.
