Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits Anthony Martial could be OUT for the season

‘It looks a bad one’: Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits Anthony Martial could be OUT until the end of the season after sprained knee sustained on international duty

  • Red Devils forward Martial sprained his knee playing for France against Ukraine
  • France boss Didier Deschamps had insisted that the injury was ‘nothing serious’
  • But it now appears worse than previously thought and comes as a huge blow

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted Anthony Martial could miss the rest of the campaign with a knee injury.

Manchester United forward Martial sprained his knee on international duty with France and limped off after 77 minutes against Ukraine on Wednesday March 24.

Solskjaer told MUTV: ‘Unfortunately he’s sprained his knee with France. Losing Anthony for what might be the rest of the season is very disappointing.

‘Especially when the reports and signals are from there that it’s wasn’t (anything) serious but it looks a bad one, yeah.’
