Manchester United are maintaining their interest in Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.
United have been discussing a move for the Turkey international with a £4.25million release clause for several weeks now as they look to provide competition for Andre Onana’s as the club’s No 1.
Bayindir is getting a back injury checked and if all OK is likely to join the Old Trafford outfit.
The 25-year-old made 40 appearances in all competitions as Jorge Jesus’ side finished second in the Super Lig, won the Turkish Cup and reached the Round of 16 in the Europa League before being knocked out by eventual winners Sevilla.
Erik ten Hag is also keeping tabs on 29-year-old Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos.
Vlachodimos has won two league titles during his time with As Aguias but was left out of their Primeira Liga opener against Estrela Amadora on Saturday after having an argument with head coach Roger Schmidt.

Benfica are expected to ask for £8.5m for the Greece international they signed from Panathinaikos in 2018.
The news comes as Crystal Palace continue their pursuit of England international Dean Henderson.
Henderson is not fully fit despite being named on the bench as United suffered their first defeat of the season against Tottenham last weekend.
The 26-year-old had been linked with a return to Nottingham Forest after spending last season on loan at the City Ground but Palace have since emerged as favourites to land United academy graduate.
Meanwhile United’s third-choice goalkeeper Tom Heaton remains a few weeks away from a return to action after picking up injury in training before start of the season.
Heaton returned to United in the summer of 2021 more than a decade after departing Old Trafford to join Cardiff but has since made just three senior appearances.
