Manchester United move for Adrien Rabiot ‘at risk of collapse over wage demands’

Man United’s £15m move for Adrien Rabiot ‘could COLLAPSE as the Juventus star’s agent mother demands the Red Devils to cough up more than the £6m-a-year her son earns in Italy’

  • Manchester United have agreed a £15million deal for midfielder Adrien Rabiot
  • Juventus are happy to let the Frenchman leave as he is not in their plans
  • But his salary demands could reportedly threaten the move falling apart
  • Rabiot’s mother Veronique is leading the negotiations over her son’s contract

Salary demands requested by Adrien Rabiot and his mother, who is also his agent, could see Manchester United’s move for the Juventus midfielder collapse.

The Red Devils have agreed a £15.2million transfer fee for Rabiot, with Juve happy to let him leave.

However, according to Sportmediaset, the deal cannot be completed until the personal terms are finalised.

Manchester United have agreed a £15m deal for Adrien Rabiot, with Juve happy to let him go

Veronique Rabiot will have direct contact with United, by Friday but is asking for a salary higher than £6million that her son is currently earning in Turin.

Juventus fans are excited by the possibility of Rabiot departing and hope that the deal can be concluded as soon as possible.

The 27-year-old is not in the club’s plans for the season, emphasised by the fact that have handed youngster Nicolo Fagioli a new four-year contract.

Rabiot’s patience is therefore over and he no longer has the desire to continue in Turin. His contract expires in 2023 and a move to United would prevent Juve from losing him for free next summer.

According to ESPN, Rabiot has appreciated telephone calls from Erik ten Hag, who has guaranteed him playing time.

The Dutchman has pushed to sign Rabiot after United lost to Brighton in the first game of the Premier League season.
