Back in October AS reported that United had ‘set in place a mechanism’ to sign Camavinga but there have also been strong overtures from Real who have been in contact with the youngsters representatives.

Since bursting onto the scene and establishing himself as a top prospect for club and country, the midfielder has led a more reserved life and is not publicly entertaining leaving Rennes.

‘I have two years left on my contract and there is time to talk about all this. There will be negotiations to renew, this is my training club and I would like to stay here’, he added.

Despite Real’s advances to Camavinga’s entourage, uncertainty over finances caused by the impact of the coronavirus pandemic mean there is plenty of uncertainty and pressure for the teenager to perform in the months ahead.
