Manchester United stars head into training as they look to ruin Watford’s perfect record

Jose Mourinho and his Manchester United squad arrive for training ahead of another already crunch Premier League clash.

Mourinho eased the pressure on him with a 2-0 victory over Burnley and he will be desperate to pick up all three points against Watford, who have made the perfect start in the top flight.

And ahead of Saturday’s clash at Vicarage Road, the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, Marcus Rashford and Fred were pictured arriving at United’s Carrington training base.

The United squad rocked up to training looking in a focused mood as they aim to claim back-to-back victories following their dismal start to the season.

After defeats by Brighton and Tottenham, there were doubts over Mourinho’s future at Old Trafford, with the United manager showing plenty signs of frustration.

And on Friday, Mourinho continued his heated relationship with the media by branding some pundits compulsive liars amid criticism of the way he is handling Rashford.

That came after Jamie Carragher suggested the 20-year-old should seek a move elsewhere, prompting another astonishing rebuke by Mourinho, who claimed pundits are ‘obsessed’ with him.  

‘I can expect that on Sunday I’m going to be highly criticised for not playing him at Watford tomorrow because some of the boys are really obsessed with me,’ the Portuguese said during a monologue of over four minutes on the suspended Rashford.

‘Some of them have a problem with some compulsive lies, so I can expect some of them will wake up on Sunday… and always the thing that comes to their mind is Jose Mourinho.

‘Some of the people everybody knows have double salaries, they work also for the clubs and of course they are not independent and they conduct things in the direction they want.

‘That’s obvious, human, is natural, not ethical but I accept. I feel sorry for them, there are more interesting things than Jose Mourinho.’
