  • Erik ten Hag’s side to visit West Ham at 7pm on Sunday of Coronation weekend
  • The Bank Holiday Monday will see three Premier League fixtures take place

Manchester United will travel to West Ham at 7pm on the Sunday of the Coronation weekend, the Premier League has announced.

Erik ten Hag’s side will visit David Moyes’ relegation-threatened team on May 7, the day following King Charles III’s coronation.

It marks the second time this season United have been scheduled to play in the late slot on a Sunday, having taken on Everton at Goodison Park on the evening of October 9 – like their clash on Merseyside, their game at West Ham will also be shown on BT Sport.

Other fixtures to have been moved include Brentford’s trip to Liverpool, which was pencilled in for 3pm on the day of the Coronation but has now been moved back a few hours to the early evening slot.

Title contenders Manchester City will precede Arsenal’s game away at Newcastle on the Sunday when they take on Leeds at the Etihad at 2pm.

Meanwhile, owing to the Bank Holiday the Premier League have been sanctioned to hold games on the Monday, with three in total now down to take place.

These include Fulham, perhaps shorn of striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, against Leicester and Brighton’s hosting of Everton.

Nottingham Forest vs. Southampton, moved from 3pm on the Saturday to the 8pm slot, will follow the aforementioned games, scheduled for 3pm and 5:30pm, respectively.

Other fixture rearrangements to have been announced by the Premier League include those impacted by the FA Cup semi-finals, to be held across the weekend April 22-23.

Manchester United’s clash with Chelsea and Brighton’s clash with Manchester City have both been postponed owing to three of the clubs’ involvement in the Cup semi-finals.

The Premier League apologised for the delay in announcing the latest raft of fixture rearrangements, citing the Coronation in their reasoning.

‘The Premier League apologises to supporters for the delay in announcing these fixtures and understands their frustrations.

‘Finalising these particular selections took longer than expected due to complications around the scheduling on the weekend of the Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort.’
