Despite leaving Seven, he will still appear on the upcoming second season of SAS Australia, which has already been filmed.

Feildel, who runs several businesses and has his own range of savoury sauces in addition to his TV career, said he was ‘at peace with whatever happens’ in the future.

‘I’m at a time of my life now where I’m at the crossroad. Either TV is going to stop and I’m going to keep on going with my businesses that I’ve had or television is going to change its course,’ he said.

‘I’m at peace with whatever happens to me.’

At the height of his success at the network, My Kitchen Rules was watched by more than two million viewers across Australia each night.

However, ratings plummeted in the face of competition from Nine’s Married At First Sight and Seven pulled the plug after the tenth season.

Feildel presented the show alongside disgraced chef Pete Evans from 2010 to 2020, and also shared hosting duties with Colin Fassnidge.

He was also known for being a judge on Seven’s Australia’s Got Talent in 2019.
