A tour guide has filmed the amazing moment she and her horse came face-to-face with three dolphins on a remote beach.

Emma Gibbons and her mare Wolfy encountered the marine animals at Forrest Beach near Busselton in Western Australia’s Margaret River region in January.

Ms Gibbons posted the video to her Instagram and described the experience as ‘literally one of the best moments of my life’.

In the video Wolfy the horse looks timid as the dolphins playfully swim around each other, slowly getting closer to the shore.

Speaking for Wolfy in the caption, Ms Gibbons said: ‘Get away you slippery sea demons!’

As the horse watches cautiously one dolphin swims on its back, exposing its stomach to Emma and Wolfy.

Wolfy can then be seen towards the end of the 30 second clip getting a little timid before beginning to turn and head back to the safety of the shoreline.

Ms Gibbons’ Instagram followers flooded the video with comments.

‘Incredible. The dolphins are curious about the horses – very intelligent. They want to play’ one Instagram commenter said.

Another added: ‘Don’t they realise they look so much like friendly sharks?’

In other posts Ms Gibbons describes her tour guide role with Jesters Flat Equestrian Centre as her ‘childhood dream job’.

Wolfy, a mare bred by Jesters Flat and suited for experienced riders, is one of 27 horses owned by the business.
