Kondo has made an art out of folding the most mundane things, providing enormous amounts of satisfaction for viewers and generating an ever growing fan base. 

In the Good Morning America video, Kondo folds a number of everyday items including socks before she is presented with the half eaten bag of potato chips.

Kondo seems a little unsure at first but she really isn’t fazed as she squeezes the air from the bag and proceeds to use the ‘KonMari way’

Kondo comments it looks quite ‘tricky’ before going on to use the ‘KonMari way,’ squeezes the air out and meticulously folds the top down saying ‘fold, fold, fold.’

Kondo’s book, ‘The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing,’ has become a best seller.

Her Netflix show, ‘Tidying Up with Marie Kondo,’ where she teaches the art of decluttering is inspiring many families to do just that.

She urges viewers to ask themselves, ‘does the item spark joy?’ If the answer is no she advises it is given away.
