Mother and son made it onto the jumbotron during the game, which inspired an excited reaction out of August.

Mariska flashed a beaming smile during her surprise screen time.

The daughter of Jayne Mansfield also gave the crowd two thumbs up.

The moment was later shared to the official Instagram page for the New York Knicks.

Mariska re-shared the post her Instagram Story so her 3million followers could see it.

Also at the game was comedian Tracy Morgan, rapper Lil Dicky and actor Jesse L Martin.

Mariska shares August as well as daughter Amaya, 12, and son Andrew, 12, with husband Peter Hermann, 56.

The couple originally met in 2001 while working together on the set of Law & Order: SVU, and they’ve been happily married for nearly 20 years.

They first welcomed August in 2006 and then they adopted Amaya in 2011, six months before adopting Andrew.

To ring in 2024, the NY-based family ventured to Kenya where they embarked on a breathtaking safari.

Mariska mostly keeps her children off of social media but she made an exception for this special vacation.

She snapped a selfie with August in a jeep while the family traversed the nature preserve and shared it to Instagram.

Mariska rocked true safari style in a tan blouse under a red and black checked shirt and a brown safari hat. She had black sunglasses on her face and a blue bandanna tied around her neck.

Her son smiled at the camera from the backseat in a blue T-shirt while looking like a perfect mix of his parents.

Mariska also shared photos of the big five animals her family saw on their trip and noted that her husband took many of them.

She previously described her family as ‘so perfect’ but admitted to PEOPLE in 2018 that life can be ‘chaotic’ with three kids.

‘The thing that’s made me a better parent is my kids. Because they taught me to really listen. My husband is my North Star, and my kids are my teachers,’ she gushed.

She continued: ”Our family is so perfect, or at least perfect for me. Together we’re just this whole, happy, joyful, chaotic, crazy unit.

‘I’ve never known anything that was more right.’
