Mark Wahlberg reveals injury to eye in social media clip: ‘Don’t ask!!!’
Mark Wahlberg took to Instagram on Wednesday to reveal that his left eye was bandaged up, presumably due to an unforeseen injury.
The 50-year-old star of films like The Fighter and Boogie Nights was seen in a brief clip on the social media site in which he was seated and had his head positioned showing off the right side of his profile.
The Boston native then slowly turned his head around to reveal a cotton shield on his eye affixed with multiple strips of medical tape.

The Oscar-nominated actor, expressing his exasperation with the injury, said ‘Don’t ask,’ a phrase which he also captioned the clip with.
The Infinite star wore a navy blue ribbed zip-up top over a white button-up top in the clip and sported a beard with his locks neatly styled to the side.
It was not immediately clear what precipitated the clip; Wahlberg was seen earlier this week in a social media clip in which he posed with Mario Lopez, 48, and kickboxer Rico Verhoeven, 32, at an F45 Gym, a fitness facility he’s invested in.
He captioned the shot, ‘An amazing F45 work out dedicated to our veterans! Thank you for your service. With my brothers @ricoverhoeven and @mariolopez!! Let’s get it! #F45partner.’

On Wednesday, Lopez wrote in the comment section of Wahlberg’s eye reveal, ‘Feel better my man!’
Wahlberg in July spoke with CNBC about why he liked the company, as it made its debut on the floor at the New York Stock Exchange, saying its ‘energy is absolutely incredible.’
‘Die-hard fitness enthusiasts who don’t have the schedule, got to do it in the middle of the night or first thing in the morning, don’t want to get on a bike,’ he said. ‘That’s fine. But eventually that becomes, stagnant and boring.
‘You want to be in there with the energy of people working out with you, alongside you, inspiring you, pushing you and supporting you.’
Wahlberg and wife Rhea Durham, 43, are parents to four children – Ella, 18, Michael, 15, Brendan, 13, and Grace, 11.
