Mark Zuckerberg says Trump’s social media SHOULD NOT be shut down because he doesn’t ‘want private companies censoring politicians in the news’

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is not a fan of curtailing President Donald Trump’s social media presence. 

In an interview airing Friday on ‘The Daily Briefing,’ the billionaire shared his stance in opposition to the latest calls from politicians – most notably Kamala Harris – demanding that Twitter shut do Trump’s account. 

‘My belief is that in a democracy, I don’t think that we want private companies censoring politicians in the news,’ the 35-year-old explained.

Zuckerberg stressed that people should be able to determine what is credible. 

‘I generally believe that as a principle, people should decide what is credible and what they want to believe, who they want to vote for,’ he added. 

‘And I don’t think that should be something that we want tech companies or any kind of company doing.’

Zuckerberg stressed that American’s needed to ‘think for himself’ and added that its not tech company’s job to do so. 

‘Political speech is one of the most scrutinized [forms of] speech that is out there, so that’s already happening,’ he added. ‘Our position on this is not an outlier.’
