Marla Maples is taking her love of meditation, yoga, and organic cuisine on the road with the upcoming launch of her spiritual travel service, SoulShine Journeys.
The 56-year-old actress told the New York Times that the venture will offer creative retreats that will help participants ‘shed what they need to shed and shift into their highest good.’
A promotional video for SoulShine Journeys was shared on Marla’s YouTube channel last Monday and features footage from her recent trip to the Spanish island of Mallorca.
Surprise! Marla Maples is launching a new spiritual travel venture, SoulShine Journeys
Goal: The yoga lover said the upcoming retreats will help participants ‘shed what they need to shed and shift into their highest good’
The clip opens with a scenic shot of Palma, the capital of Mallorca, followed by a close-up of their guest retreat accommodations, Osa Major, which boasts scenic views, interiors inspired by Shamanism, and an infinity pool.
Marla is first seen holding hands with her friend, psychic and hypnotherapist Tara Sutphen, while leading what looks like a group prayer before dinner.
Subsequent footage shows her meditating, doing yoga, and putting makeup on someone’s face during the retreat.
In another scene, her friend and travel partner Cat Faith can be seen performing a Shamanic ritual on a participant.
There are crystals, dancing, oracle card readings, red wine toasts, and even a sailing trip on the Rafael Verdera, the oldest operating boat in the Spanish fleet.

The nearly two-minute clip ends with someone writing, ‘Let’s start an adventure,’ in a SoulShine Journeys guestbook.
‘Join us as we ignite our spirit and embark on new journeys together,’ reads the video’s description. ‘We cannot wait to unveil our creative journey together with the accomplished healers, alchemists, mentors, artists, musicians and chefs who make it such an enriching process.
‘We believe in individuality, creativity and sharing stories. We value respect, kindness and trust. We believe that people come together in circles, and ceremony, free to express themselves in any way they choose, and that these encounters are truly life changing.’
Logistics regarding future spiritual retreats remain unclear, though there are a few details on the SoulShine Journeys’ website, which is divided into three sections: ‘The Spot,’ ‘Rituals,’ and ‘Kitchen.’
Locations are to be selected ‘using an intuitive feeling-based process.’ The hosts will ‘tune in to the energy of the land and the story behind each unique landscape.’
Focused: In the nearly two-minute clip, Marla can be seen meditating while outside
Relaxed: The former Dancing with the Stars contestant was filmed practicing yoga on the group retreat
Mind and body: Marla has doing yoga for years, so it’s only natural that it would be a part of her new project
‘The ingredients that we most value are magic, art, beauty, sustainability, a lot of love and a strong spiritual component,’ the site explains.
The rituals will encompass ‘practices from different traditions and parts of the world that speak directly to the soul,’ while the organic meals include ‘homegrown fruits, vegetables, herbs and other artisanal, small-batch products’ that are prepared by chefs.
Marla has been quietly promoting the venture on her website and social media using the hashtag #soulshinejourneys.
‘The Light and the sea danced with us on our first #soulshinejourneys adventure,’ she captioned a series of images that were taken during the retreat’s sailing trip.
‘We shared so much laughter while awakening our hearts and minds to expand, heal and love even more,’ she wrote. ‘Here we are on the Rafael Verdera playing like kids, and of course I had to move past my fears and climb to the farthest tip of the sailboat on the bowsprit.’

Hosting the retreats seems like a natural shift for Donald Trump’s ex-wife, who has dedicated most of her life to her mind, body, and spirit while traveling the world.
The mom, whose only child is first daughter Tiffany Trump, is uniquely spiritual and practices a variety of religions. She goes to church on Sundays but still keeps Shabbat, studies Kabbalah, and eats a kosher diet.
In 2013, Marla released an ambient music album titled ‘The Endless,’ which features spiritual gurus such as Deepak Chopra and the Dalai Lama, who appears on the track ‘The Compassionate Mind.’ It ended up winning the Hollywood Music in Media Award for best New Age/Ambient Album.
Marla is also a health nut, but her diet is just as unique as her spiritual practice. She shuns processed sugars, dairy, and gluten, and while she eats mostly vegan, she will consume meat from time to time.
She explained to People in November 2018 that she was actually a vegetarian until she read Eat Right 4 Your Type, a diet book that claims people should be tailoring their nutrition to their blood types.
Goal: The rituals at future retreats will encompass ‘practices from different traditions and parts of the world,’ according to the SoulShine Journeys’ website
Doing it all: Marla is uniquely spiritual and practices a variety of religions. She goes to church on Sundays but still keeps Shabbat, studies Kabbalah, and eats a kosher diet
Accommodations: Marla and her friends stayed at Osa Major during the spiritual retreat. Future locations are to be selected ‘using an intuitive feeling-based process’
‘I am a solid O+ which means a bit of lamb, beef or wild game is actually a boost for my lineage of Cherokee American roots,’ Marla said of her diet, which now allows the occasional piece of meat.
Marla loves to keep active, and she does everything from mediation to tennis to keep herself in shape both physically and mentally.
The yoga devotee often shares photos and videos of herself meditating, doing handstands, attending workout classes, and playing softball with the Broadway Show League in Central Park.
The mother of one recently chronicled her Sunday routine with the New York Times, starting with her morning meditation. She likes to drink a concoction of celery and lemon juices and do some yoga if she has time.
Later on in the day, she takes the subway to Hillsong Church, a large Christ-centered church in Manhattan.
Marla stressed that she only attends churches that ‘allow you to really feel the Holy Spirit by moving and singing.’
Memorable: The adventure even included a sailing trip on the Rafael Verdera, the oldest operating boat in the Spanish fleet
Next step: Hosting the retreats seems like a natural shift for Donald Trump’s ex-wife, who has dedicated most of her life to her mind, body, and spirit while traveling the world
Getting started: Marla has been quietly promoting the venture on her website and social media using the hashtag #soulshinejourneys
‘I was born a Christian. And I still love connecting on that pathway,’ she said. ‘Though I am very well known to be unified with people from all religious, spiritual backgrounds, and find that harmony we all share. I studied Kabbalah for many years. I just love making a pure old-fashioned connection to Christ.’
After church, she will walk through Times Square and make her way to a park to ‘feel the earth’ and ‘hug a tree.’
Sometimes she will take a creative meeting with a friend or play mixed doubles tennis with Carla Hughes, director of the Central Park Tennis Center.
Marla likes to end her day by watching the sunset. She will write at night or shoot an inspirational video.
She declined to answer questions about her ex-husband’s impeachment hearings or behavior, saying: ‘It’s a conscious choice.’
Much like the way she approaches her spirituality and diet, Marla refuses to take a side when it comes to her political views.
‘I’m not in the White House. I have friends on both sides,’ she explained. ‘I will just walk in the middle. I’ll do everything I can to remind people that any type of anger or judgment can truly have such a negative impact on ourselves, and absolutely on our environment.’
