Marla Maples spends time with Tiffany Trump in D.C.

Tiffany Trump and her mother Marla Maples are enjoying each other’s company in Washington, D.C. as the president’s youngest daughter prepares to start law school at Georgetown University.

Orientation for full-time first-year J.D. students at Georgetown Law started on Monday, but Tiffany, 23, managed to find some time to watch the solar eclipse with mom in the afternoon.

Marla, 53, proudly shared an Instagram Stories video of them waiting for the natural phenomenon, and the footage sees her modeling her special eclipse viewing glasses while Tiffany is smiling for the camera.

‘Okay we are waiting for the moment. It’s almost here,’ the mom says as they patiently wait on top of a rooftop.

Marla also posted a funny picture of her and Tiffany viewing the solar eclipse, noting that her daughter was ‘being artistic’ while taking a photo of the event while she was ‘being a silly mom’.

The photo, which sees Tiffany modeling a flirty black mini dress as she looked up at the sky, was later removed from Marla’s Instagram page for unknown reasons.

While she and her mother were careful to wear protective eyewear for the event, Tiffany’s father, President Donald Trump, risked blindness as he peeked at the solar eclipse without his glasses from the White House terrace.

Trump was joined by First Lady Melania, their son Barron, his daughter Ivanka, and some cabinet members, including Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross and Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Tiffany’s half-sister Ivanka reminded her Instagram followers to wear their protective glasses on Monday, but she apparently didn’t share the same message with her father and stepmother, who were both seen looking up at the sky without the proper eyewear on.

Meanwhile, Tiffany’s longtime boyfriend Ross Mechanic enjoyed the event with his co-workers.

The University of Pennsylvania graduate, who started dating Tiffany while they were at school together, now works as a data engineer at Cadre, the real estate start-up co-founded by Tiffany’s brother-in-law, Jared Kushner.

Ross shared an Instagram photo of himself peering up into the sky in Manhattan with his colleagues Ali Khan and Josh Och, writing: ‘That was pretty cool’.

‘A picture I never thought I would see of you haha,’ Tiffany commented on the snapshot.

Tiffany and Ross had to navigate a long-distance relationship while she was living in Manhattan and he was still in school in Philadelphia. Just a year later, Ross is the one living in New York City, and Tiffany is embarking on another three years of school in Washington D.C.

Although Tiffany’s father and sister Ivanka live in D.C., Marla is likely in town helping her daughter get settled in her new apartment before she starts school.

Marla, who also moved Tiffany out of her apartment in Philadelphia after her college graduation, appeared to be enjoying herself on her daughter’s new campus.

While Marla was in D.C. with Tiffany, former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle were moving their eldest daughter, Malia, into her Harvard University dormitory on Monday afternoon.

The family was joined by members of the Secret Service as they pulled up to incoming freshman’s new residence in a two-SUV envoy, managing to avoid detection despite the thousands of people around the campus and in Cambridge.

That was due in large part to their timing, with the Obamas electing to get everything moved and Malia settled into her new digs during the solar eclipse.

However, unlike Malia, Tiffany had quite the last hurrah before she headed to school, enjoying trips across Europe and in the Hamptons before she returned to her studies.

A little over a week ago Tiffany had one last vacation with her friends in the Hamptons.

The first daughter was photographed leaving her apartment in New York City with a Secret Service agents before she arrived at her friend Andrew Warren’s home in Water Mill.

Photos from the visit see her posing by the pool in a string bikini while holding a heart-shaped float.

Tiffany spent the first half of her summer vacation traveling around Europe with Ross before he returned to the states to start his new job at Cadre.

She then met up with her mother Marla in Italy, and they visited the Italian Islands of Capri, Ponza, and Elba before docking in Portofino as guests on the Mirage IV yacht.

At the end of their glamorous seaside vacation, which was filled with sunbathing, jet-skiing, sightseeing, they toured Rome together ahead of their return flight back to New York City.
