Marni Little reveals a shocking tweet from a 16-year-old girl

She was at the centre of a domestic violence dispute with ex-husband Dan Ewing at their Northern Beaches home in 2011, which resulted in the former Home and Away star being charged with assault.

While the charges were later dropped, Marni Little has penned a blog post revealing one of the most shocking messages she saw when media outlets reported on the altercation at the time.

Taking to her blog More Than A Little on Thursday, Marni recalled a tweet written by a 16-year-old girl at the time that read: ‘He’s so hot, I’d let him punch me in the face.’

Marni admitted that she read many of the online reactions to the reports at the time but this particular one from the teenager emotionally affected her for a while afterwards.

‘That sentence rang in my ears for the next four years. What had I done?’ Marni wrote. ‘This wasn’t the message I wanted to send and it sure as hell wasn’t going to be my legacy.’

The blogger claimed that since the incident, she realised how important the women’s movement and feminism in general is.

The post shared on International Women’s Day follows on from Marni speaking about the domestic assault allegations in December last year.

Marni took to Instagram to share a photo of the cover of TV Week magazine, which featured an interview with Dan with the headline, ‘I don’t regret a thing’.

Marni wrote in the caption ‘Not a thing?’ and ‘#METOO’, the viral phrase that has recently been used to denounce assault and harassment.
