Marnie Simpson, 29, and Casey Johnson, 25, have reportedly called off their August wedding and postponed the date until 2022 due to Covid restrictions.
The couple, who share son Rox, 20 months, are said to have sent out invites for their lavish wedding which they had hoped to have this summer after booking the venue, buying dresses, cakes and flowers yet government rules led to a change of plan.
Speaking to OK! on Monday, ahead of Boris Johnson’s Freedom Day announcement, a source said: ‘Marnie wanted a really relaxed and fun wedding where people can enjoy themselves, and as it stands this wouldn’t be the case.

‘She feels she won’t be able to enjoy it as there are certain restrictions currently in place, such as only the bride and groom being able to dance.
‘She’s gutted it can’t go ahead, but because the rules are ever changing, it could get to the day before her wedding and the country could be heading into another lockdown.’
It comes after the Prime Minister announced his latest plans for Freedom Day, hoped to be July 19, which will see face masks and 1m social distancing scrapped.
The easing of restrictions would cut all limits on social contact, meaning the end of the orders such as the ‘rule of six’ and restrictions on guests at weddings and mourners at funerals.

Their wedding postponement comes after fans believed the couple had split at the beginning of the year.
Marnie fuelled speculation she had split from Casey after cryptically saying ‘no one will ever know what goes on behind closed doors’.
But a couple of days later she proved they were going strong despite her claim that she was having a ‘tough time’ as they posed together in a short clip she shared via Instagram.
The former Geordie Shore star and Casey were seen lying in bed together as she filmed them while Casey threw up a Shaka sign as he believed they were making a boomerang.

Speaking at the time she admitted that she was having a ‘tough time’ and cryptically added that ‘no one will ever know what goes on behind closed doors’.
Responding to speculation that she and Casey had split, Marnie said on her Instagram story that same day: ‘I’m getting a lot of messages, a lot of questions.
‘If I’m honest, like, I know everyone means well I just want everyone to respect my privacy that’s it really, I don’t wanna talk about it.

‘Yeah, it’s a tough time, everyone is going through a tough time at the minute, I’m not gonna moan.’
She added: ‘What I’ve realised is over this past year, is that no one will ever know what goes on behind closed doors, I know that from personal experience…
‘No one knows scenarios, details, situations, no one knows what’s going on in someone’s head, mind, treat people how you want to be treated.’
The day prior, Marnie uploaded a ‘new beginnings’ image quote and she captioned the picture with a mother and son emoji, seemingly implying that her partner is absent.
Her followers flooded her social media account, sharing their thoughts on the possible breakup.
