After months of speculation, Maroon 5 has been officially confirmed as this year’s main Super Bowl act.

The Girls Like You band’s big news about Super Bowl LII in Atlanta was confirmed via People on Sunday. 

Also set to appear: Travis Scott and Big Boi of the Atlanta-bred group Outkast.

Stage presence: Maroon 5 (about in November 10 2018) has been officially confirmed as a performer for Super Bowl 53 on Sunday

Back in September, Levine addressed rumors with an enigmatic answer.

‘I’m still formulating a lot of things,’ Adam said of the band’s 2019 plans when asked by Variety.

The NFL reportedly had quite a tough time booking acts for the performance, which will take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

According to insiders, ‘no one wants to be associated with the NFL’ thanks to the league’s controversy with Colin Kaepernick and his ‘take a knee’ protest against police brutality. 

The biggest game in football is scheduled for Sunday February 3 2019, airing on CBS.
