Married At First Sight fan favourite Chris Jensen was arrested for ‘trafficking dangerous drugs – serious organised crime’ prior to his appearance on the hit reality show

Chris Jensen was arrested on drug trafficking charges prior to his appearance on this year’s season of Married At First Sight.

The 32-year-old fan favourite faces one count of trafficking dangerous drugs – serious organised crime.

He was due to appear for a mention before Brisbane Supreme Court on Wednesday, but the matter was adjourned until April 23, The Courier Mail reported.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Thursday, Queensland Courts and the Department of Justice and Attorney-General confirmed the charges.

He was arrested alongside three co-accused, who are all facing similar charges.

Chris was a late-comer to this year’s series, and was paired with bride Jaimie Gardner on the hit Channel Nine reality show.

The two failed to form a connection though, and opted to leave the series during Monday night’s episode.  

‘I came in here to give my heart and to put everything in and I did,’ he said after deciding to quit the experiment.

‘I hope that I will actually find the one that I’m supposed to be with and they just want to be with me, too.’ 

Chris posted about his experience on the show on Instagram on Monday, and said he has ‘so much to offer and so much love to give the woman that chooses me’.  

‘My #MAFS journey ends… I know my worth and the quality of man I am. I won’t settle for anything less,’ he wrote.
