EXCLUSIVE ‘Do your self a favour and keep one eye open’: Married At First Sight bride Amanda Micallef reveals the worrying sign you could be dating a narcissist

She’s had plenty of experience with heartbreak, having suffered a string of failed relationships over the years.

And Married At First Sight star Amanda Micallef has shared some sage advice about red flags in relationships, and the insidious sign that you may be dating a narcissist.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia, Amanda warned fans to watch out for overly affectionate and possessive behaviour – known as ‘love bombing’- in the very early stages of a relationship.

‘Do your self a favour and keep one eye open’: Married At First Sight bride Amanda Micallef (pictured) has revealed the worrying sign you could be dating a narcissist

‘Whilst it’s beautiful in that initial phase of someone you’re very attracted to, wanting your attention 24/7 and putting you on a pedestal, I cannot stress enough how someone who doesn’t know you doing this to you, is a sign you could be dealing with a narcissist,’ she explained.

Amanda, who formed one half of MAFS’ first-ever Lesbian couple in 2020, warned that after the ‘love bombing phase’ dries up, a much uglier truth will emerge.

‘You will quickly realise that the ‘love of your life’ ends up being the worst person you’ve ever dealt with,’ she said.

‘Do yourself a favour, and just keep one eye open, a steel cage over your heart, until you have navigated a few arguments and tough times and really see what this person is made of,’ Amanda added.

The personal trainer explained that the key to avoiding falling into such toxic relationships is to maintain a ‘sense of independence’ from your partner, for example by maintaining ‘separate hobbies, friends and having ‘me time’.’

While Amanda is happily single, she is open to starting a new relationship with the right woman.
