Married At First Sight’s Carolina Santos admits she ‘wishes she’d been matched with Daniel Holmes’

They’re at the centre of a cheating scandal set to rock Married At First Sight.

And as viewers prepare to watch their tryst unfold, Carolina Santos and Daniel Holmes haven’t shied away from confessing their attraction to one another during media interviews.

Speaking to Woman’s Day on Monday, Carolina, 33, said she wished she’d been matched with Daniel instead of her ‘husband’ Dion Giannarelli, 31, following their flirty exchange at last week’s dinner party.

‘[Daniel and I] were discussing that we were matched with people that weren’t really our usual type and we didn’t find a connection,’ Carolina said. 

The Brazilian-born beauty, who admits Dion isn’t attractive enough for her, said she felt ‘flattered’ when Daniel struck up a conversation with her at the dinner table.  

‘When a hot guy comes to you and says, “Oh, you’re my usual type. I literally described you when I applied for the show,” I obviously felt flattered,’ she said.

Speaking to Monday’s TV Week, Carolina added: ‘Daniel is a handsome guy… There was a bit of flirtation and chemistry that I didn’t have with my husband.’  

Bodybuilder Daniel also admitted he immediately felt ‘a spark’ with Carolina, telling the same magazine: ‘I don’t know about her, but I definitely felt a bit of interest, because we had a good chat [at the dinner party].’

‘I was physically attracted, too,’ he added.

‘They were all over each other and couldn’t keep their hands off one another,’ an eyewitness told Daily Mail Australia.

‘They were kissing for a solid three minutes straight and appeared in a hurry to get back to their apartment.’

Carolina looked effortlessly stylish in a beige-coloured shirt dress, which she paired with a large black belt.

Dressing up for the outing, he opted for a black shirt which he teamed with a pair of black jeans and brown boots.

He completed his look with an always-fashionable grey overcoat.

Daniel and Carolina decided to take their friendship to the next level after several on- and off-camera meetings.

Daily Mail Australia spotted the pair secretly meeting up behind their partners’ backs in November.

MAFS producers were mortified after discovering Carolina and Daniel’s drivers had accidentally dropped them off at the exact same time in front of photographers.
