Married At First Sight’s Charlene and Patrick reveal they’ve split

They were one of the fan favourite couple on Married At First Sight’s fifth season.

But on Wednesday’s explosive finale, Patrick Miller and Charlene Perera revealed that they hadn’t spoken to each other since filming their final vows, which saw them both vow to stay together.

‘We haven’t seen each other since we left the experiment,’ Charlene confessed to the experts.

‘We haven’t seen each other since we left the experiment’: Charlene and Patrick indicated that they’d split at the Married At First Sight reunion finale on Wednesday

‘For two weeks it was just complete radio silence,’ she continued.

‘So I put in a text, and I got a couple of small responses back… I guess the disappointing part was that we didn’t even speak.’

Charlene added: ‘I would’ve hoped that if Pat was really into it that maybe he would’ve made a little bit of an effort.’

Patrick responded by saying he was overwhelmed by the experiment and needed some time to unwind after filming wrapped.

‘It took me a few weeks to get back into the groove of things,’ he explained.

‘I didn’t talk to my mum, my family, my mates. I just needed my time to do my thing.’

However, the experts called him out on his reclusive behaviour, with Mel Schilling saying: ‘But Pat, you were in a relationship.

‘You had recommitted to Charlene, so she was your partner.’

He then said that he didn’t like Charlene’s final vows, explaining that they felt like they came with ‘conditions,’ so he wasn’t comfortable leaning on her after the experiment had ended.

Charlene countered by saying that there weren’t any conditions on her vows, before the couple awkwardly said they’d just ‘see what happens’ moving forward.
