Married At First Sight’s Melinda and Layton look tense as they step out to run errands – before she returns solo following claims their wedding was ‘fake’

Melinda Willis and Layton Mills tied the knot on Sunday night’s episode with fans calling into question its legitimacy after behind-the-scenes footage leaked.

Now the pair have been seen heading out to run errands during filming with Melinda returning alone after they begrudgingly held hands.

The sassy businesswoman, 32, stepped out in a warm winter jacket over a black, low cut shirt and khaki slacks, looking tense following her nuptials.

She slipped on a set of dark shades to hide her eyes before finishing off with a pair of white sneakers as she let her straight blonde locks fall free around her shoulders.

Meanwhile, her biotech CEO husband, 35, didn’t look any happier as he dressed for warmer weather in a khaki t-shirt and black shorts.

He pulled a black cap down over his head before accessorising with black sneakers and a flashy watch.

The duo appeared tense as they stepped out for some grocery shopping, eventually deciding to hold hands.

However, a few hours later, Melinda returned alone carrying a paper bag with clothes peaking out of it.

Her jacket was nowhere in sight as she slipped a black handbag over her shoulder and showed off her racy shirt which featured waist cutouts.

It comes after footage emerged earlier this week showing Melinda abruptly letting go of Layton’s hand the second the cameras stopped rolling at their wedding.

The newlyweds were then seen asking producers if they needed to reshoot the scene of them looking loved-up at the end of the night.

Footage captured by Daily Mail Australia shows the couple exchanging uneasy looks before awkwardly holding hands for the cameras.

Melinda and Layton, who were ‘scientifically’ paired by a trio of relationship experts, appeared to barely speak to each other off camera.

They seemed to be struggling to find things to talk about.

A producer was then seen giving Melinda and Layton a pep talk, telling them exactly what was required of them for the next shot.
