An expecting father in Massachusetts showed off his paternal glow with a pregnancy photo shoot — featuring his fast food baby belly.
Peabody, Massachusetts resident Nick Roberts, 25, surprised his pregnant girlfriend, Brianna Magee, 23, with the photos at their gender reveal party in June before their son Logan was born.
Some of the photos show Roberts, in a half-unbuttoned shirt, posing at a beach in the town of Nahant, Massachusetts, lovingly cradling his visible belly. In other pictures, Roberts can be seen holding surrounded by McDonald’s take away detritus and holding a hamburger.

As in traditional pregnancy photo shoots, Roberts’ rounded, extended belly features prominently in most of the photos.
Roberts told WHDH-TV that he and his friend Stephen Cwiok, who is a photographer, grabbed some fast food before the shoot to ‘try to look a little pregnant.’
Roberts added that the photo shoot was ‘extremely difficult’ because he and Cwiok couldn’t stop laughing throughout the session.
Cwiok told People that Roberts, ‘absolutely nailed the model face and it was killing me all the way through’ the shoot.
To create the fast food baby, Roberts said that he stopped at McDonald’s and ate ‘a LOT’ of food there just prior to taking the pictures
Roberts said that a ‘strange talent’ of his is that he is able to puff out his stomach so much that he looks pregnant, after eating too much food

In a Facebook post showing off the photos, Roberts said that the shoot actually occurred because Magee had booked Cwiok to take photos of her pregnant self, but that when she forgot about the appointment and made other plans that day. Roberts and Cwiok then decided to do the shoot without Magee — and her belly — and keep it a secret.
Roberts wrote that after filling up on McDonald’s, ‘If I’m being completely honest, the setting, the occasion, the awful cramps from the double cheeseburgers… it all brought me so much closer to the pregnancy.’
He noted that he’d ‘never know what being in labor feels like, but I feel in my heart, it can’t be too far away from eating A LOT of fast food. I’m truly blessed to have had this eye-opening experience.’
Roberts told People that the surprising appearance of a gestating food baby was the result of a ‘strange talent’ he has that involves his ability to really distend his belly after eating too much.
The fast food baby pregnancy photos were craftily incorporated into Magee’s gender reveal party through a wedding-style photo album that was casually placed on a table for people to pick up and leaf through.
Cwiok told People that he and Roberts were convinced that Magee was going to be angry at them. Fortunately for them, her reaction was quite the opposite.
Magee told WHDH-TV that when she flipped through the pictures, she ‘just started laughing harder and harder.’
The couple’s son, Logan, is now one month old.
