Masterchef viewers say ingredients shown on the show are deliberately being left laying around in the shape of genitalia to appear in the background of scenes.

Lemons, a courgette, several eggs, a stick of rhubarb and a bottle of juice have all become embroiled in what fans of the BBC show have dubbed the ‘c*** and balls conspiracy’ on social media platform TikTok.

The videos have gone viral online, garnering more than four million views.

And viewers are convinced the conspiracy is real – theorising the ingredient arrangements always show after the camera pans to a big ‘M’ logo in the background of the studio.

Gregg Wallace and Marcus Wareing have been pushing chefs to the limit on MasterChef: The Professionals, but it is the arrangement of food that has stolen the show on social media.

As the judges set out to taste Chris Finnigan’s latest dish on the show, the camera panned across to reveal two eggs either side of a piece of rhubarb, creating what TikTok users dubbed a phallic shape.

One person even proclaimed it could be the ‘single most important conspiracy theory of our time,’ adding: ‘Man is on to something.’

Ren said: ‘I have seen two of these [videos] and honestly that’s more than enough for me to believe it.’

Another person said: ‘Now that’s a proper theory I can get behind.’

Si added: ‘It’s always after the logo appears.’

And some suggested that the show’s bosses might even be in on the conspiracy.

S Johnson said: ‘100 per cent the prop/set dress team are about to get pulled into a meeting.’

And viewers are convinced the conspiracy is real – theorising the ingredient arrangements always show after the camera pans to a big ‘M’ logo in the background of the studio.

Another warned: ‘Someone in set design probably did this.

‘Maybe they have seen the video, maybe they know you’re onto them.

‘Maybe they have called a hit on you. I don’t know.’

Another person joked: ‘Some set intern is having the time of their life right now.’

But others said the conspiracy theory may even go deeper than Masterchef – perhaps even right to the owner of the account who first called attention to the ambiguous shapes.

Ung said: ‘Plot twist, the owner of the account works on the set and is the one doing it.’

And Em joked: ‘You guys are seeing things that aren’t there (Masterchef paid me to say this).’
