‘[But] the reality is, there’s no bad part of the job. We’re very lucky to have a job, let alone a job like this,’ he added.

It comes after Jock revealed the five ingredients he always keeps in his kitchen for simple homemade classics.

The Scottish chef said he never runs out of pasta, pancetta and parmesan – staples that form the foundation for many traditional Italian dishes.

He also swears by lemons and HP sauce, which can be used to flavour almost any meal.

As for healthy eating, the chef admitted he doesn’t give it much thought.

The father-of-four also admitted he’s never gone on a diet because he ‘loves food too much’.

‘Dieting isn’t my thing, I love food too much and also have such a fast metabolism I always seem hungry,’ he said.

‘I’m not really known for my health approach.’
