‘I’m kind of desperate!’ Bros star Matt Goss, 53, admits he’s been KICKED OFF a dating app because they don’t believe it’s really him

Matt Goss has revealed he’s been kicked off a dating app after taking his quest for love online in an act of ‘desperation’.

The Bros singer, 53, confessed he was blocked from the unnamed platform following accusations that he was a catfish.

During a recent BBC Radio 5 interview, he said: ‘I got kicked off because they said, “We don’t think Matt Goss would appreciate you imitating him.”

‘I was too embarrassed to say, “No, it’s me, it’s actually me. I can show you my stats, you know – a naked picture, anything you need.”

‘I didn’t have the guts to go, “I’m kind of desperate, I’m trying to find someone here.”‘

Matt, who counts Melanie Sykes, Rebecca Ferguson and Martine McCutcheon as former flames, was spotted on a date with a mystery woman in October.

The Too Much songster was dining alfresco with a brunette beauty at Scott’s seafood restaurant in Mayfair, and were pictured jumping into a taxi after their meal.

Last year Matt talked about how he found it ‘tough’ after the breakdown of his last relationship, but was thankful his sex drive had returned.

He told OK! Magazine at the time: ‘I want an active love life – I love to make love. But after my last relationship, physicality was tough for me. I was worried about getting hurt.

‘Now I love sex for the first time in a long while. I don’t sleep around but if I’m lucky enough to have sex, then I’m very grateful. It’s nice to have that desire back and to wake up in the morning and feel the urge.’

He said: ‘I feel more virile than ever and absurdly youthful. I still attract women in their 20s.’

The Bros singer has previously dated Melanie Sykes in the early 1990s and Daisy Fuentes for a decade.

The singer said the true ‘love of his life’ was a mystery woman he met after his relationship with Daisy ended.

Matt found fame as lead singer of pop band Bros, which also features his twin brother Luke as drummer and their friend Craig Logan as bassist.

The band’s debut album Push went platinum four times, earned an astonishing eight top five hits and remained on the UK charts for over a year.

In 1995, Matt launched into his solo career but in 2017, he joined forces with Luke to sell out two nights at London’s 02 Arena in 2017 – 40,000 tickets in 7 seconds – meaning they broke a world record.

Not only is Matt a successful musician, he has also authored two books.

His bestselling autobiography, More Than You Know, was published in 2005.

And his second publication is set to be a major worldwide release for Christmas this year – a children’s book titled Bear Crimbo.
