Christopher Lloyd, the man known for portraying Doc. Brown in the Back to the Future series, has posted about Matthew Perry’s death and noted the actor’s final tweet.

On Oct. 26, Perry tweeted ‘Perfect movies: 1) Back to the Future, 2) Midnight Run, 3) _________? -I’m Mattman’

That led Lloyd to respond on Oct. 29, after news of Perry’s passing, noting the tweet in his tribute post.

The beloved Friends’ star was found dead in a hot tub and a coroner has yet to rule on his car of death. Police sources say they found prescription pills at the home but no illegal drugs.

Lennon played Felix Unger opposite Perry’s Oscar Madison in the reboot of the classic sitcom.

The show aired from 2015 to 2017 on CBS.

Matthew Perry, who’s tragically died at his LA home at the age of 54, enjoyed a series of high-profile relationships during his life, including with some of Hollywood’s most famous leading ladies.

At the height of his Friends stardom in the 90s, Perry romanced Julia Roberts, Neve Campbell and Baywatch star Yasmine Bleeth in the space of just two years.

In later years, his longest romances came via a six-year relationship with actress Lizzie Caplan and an engagement to Molly Hurwitz in 2018, which ended in 2020.

‘He was very nice and had redone this house for a couple of years,’ one neighbor said.

In his last interview in November 2022, Matthew Perry was promoting his book Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing and spoke about how ‘people can change’ if they’re able to overcome addiction.

‘I want people to understand that they’re not alone that there are other people feeling exactly the way they’re feeling.’

‘That their behaviour is not insane, that they have a disease and it’s not their fault. There’s a very famous line that people don’t change. I happen to know that people do change.’

An official joint statement from Friends and Warner Bros TV paid tribute to Matthew Perry on Saturday in the wake of the sad news.

The accounts wrote: ‘We are devastated to learn of Perry’s passing. He was a true gift to us all.’

Matthew perry was spotted out to dinner with a friend last Saturday, October 21, in what appears to be the last public outing of the actor captured on camera.

Perry and his male friend had just stopped by to eat at the Apple Pan on W Pico Blvd, which is famous for its hamburgers and pies since its founding in 1947.

The actor, who shot to fame as the sarcastic Chandler Bing in the seminal 90s sitcom, was found dead at his house in Los Angeles on Saturday after emergency crews were called at around 4pm local time.

He had reportedly played a two-hour game of Pickleball – a sport similar to tennis but played on a smaller court – earlier in the day, before sending his assistant out on an errand. When they returned, Perry was said to be found unresponsive in his hot tub.

Friends, which followed the lives of six friends in their 20s living in New York, was a smash hit across the globe when it aired between 1994 and 2004, and re-runs still remain hugely popular years later.
