Matty Healy hints at split from Taylor Swift during latest show

Taylor Swift’s rumored ex Matty Healy appeared to address the pair’s split during his latest concert. 

Swift, 33, and The 1975 rocker, 34, shocked the world when their romance was revealed in May, amid speculation they had already been dating for weeks — but a friend close to the star confirmed Taylor was ‘single’ again on Monday. 

And now Healy alluded to the breakup as he hit the stage with his band and noticed several signs from fans expressing their support and love for him.

‘My friend had some very, very beautiful signs that said, “You are loved,”‘ he told the crowd while pointing out the fan in the crowd, as seen in a Twitter video. ‘That was very, very kind of you.’

‘I’m sure that’s alluding to…’ he began to say, before stopping. ‘As you’re aware, I’m not very online at the moment and I’m sure people have just been calling me a c**t relentlessly,’ he quipped.

‘I’ve not been online, but what I have been with is my boys,’ he went on. 

‘And honestly, as much as I appreciate that, it’s so beautiful, and I thank you. But I don’t need it, because I’ve got them,’ he concluded.

Earlier in the day it was revealed that the two were ‘never boyfriend and girlfriend’ with the singer ‘sowing her oats’ during the brief fling after her split from Joe Alwyn, according to new reports.

It was claimed the romance was never as serious as many believed, that the pair were never even exclusive and that Taylor and Matty will return to being friends – despite reports they were ‘madly in love’ and planning to move in together.

A source told People: ‘She had fun with him, but it was always casual. They are no longer romantically involved.”

Another insider said: ‘They were never boyfriend-girlfriend or exclusive and were always just having fun. There is no drama, and who knows what could happen again. It was a good time and ran its course.

‘Taylor is doing great — her focus right now is her tour. Since Matty is touring too, they won’t be able to see each other at all. They have been friends for years and decided to just go back to being friends. Nothing complicated happened. It’s just life.’

A third source said the pair ‘still care for one another’ and are ‘still friends.’
