McDonald’s Australia has launched a ‘mystery rewards’ feature to dish out special hidden deals, including free food to its loyal customers. 

Diners have taken to Facebook to share the offers they’ve redeemed, such as free fries, two-for-one burgers and popular items for a fraction of the price.

To redeem an offer, you are required to use the fast food giant’s app to process the order before heading to your nearest store to pick up.

‘We’re offering you a one-of-a-kind, mystery reward – we hope you like surprises,’ the app said in an email to customers.

‘To see what’s waiting for you, head to the ‘My Rewards’ section in the mymacca’s app. Your exclusive offer won’t last forever, so order yours today!’

The ‘mystery rewards’ get updated every week, with different deals offered. 

Some customers revealed they scored a $1 sundae or apple pie if they purchased a six-pack chicken nuggets, or 25 per cent off if they spend over $30.

Many quickly pointed out that every user gets a different offer, with some suggesting the whole family should download the app so they could get access to other deals.

‘I made up another email and they’re both different deals,’ one said.

And another said: ‘If you have more than one person with a mobile in your house, get them to download too and you will have access to more offers.’
