McDonald’s has revealed a new menu shake-up as it brings back a popular item and it has announced a range of prizes customers could win in Monopoly. 

The fast food chain has confirmed it’s introducing its Spicy Chicken McNuggets with a ‘new and improved recipe’ to the main menu in UK branches.

McDonald’s promising the nuggets will be ‘even spicier than before’ which delighted many customers.

McDonald’s first introduced its Spicy Chicken McNuggets in 2020 and brought them back for a short time early last year.

Spicy Chicken McNuggets feature tender, all-white meat breaded with a sizzling tempura coating made of cayenne and chili peppers. 

Six Spicy Chicken McNuggets will cost £3.49 and they’re also available in portions of 9 and 20 pieces. 

Customers will be able to taste new spicier Chili dip when tucking into them.

The new nuggets arrive from September 7 and they’ll be included in the Monopoly game for the first time.

McDonald’s customers purchase certain items on the menu – such as fries, wraps, drinks or McFlurry’s – to collect game pieces. 

Customers could win a range of prizes while playing including four £100,000 cash prizes and 20 MINI Electric Cars. 

Other prizes include a £2,000 holiday with TUI which 85 customers could claim plus 1000 customers could get their hands on a McDonald’s gold card- which gives them a free meal a week.

Each Monopoly piece represents roads and train stations, just like the classic board game. Once you collect a set, you win a prize.

The more food you buy, the more chances you have to win, with some food items carrying more chances to win than others.

Other three-sticker items include the Big Tasty, Chicken Selects, Frozen strawberry lemonade and the Chicken and bacon salad.

The new ‘double peel’ feature, will see customers collect game pieces in store and on the app which features a digital game board and prize wallet.

The announcement that Monopoly will return comes after the restaurant confirmed some items will go up in price this summer for the first time in 14 years.
