Meet fashion’s most unusual looking model

A model with a seriously eye-catching style has been brought in to model ASOS Makeup’s debut collection.

Jazzelle Zanaughtti, a 21-year-old Chicago native, has wracked up more than 270,000 followers on Instagram for her unique androgynous look, which she further enhances with strange accessories, drawn-on brows and, more often than not, a touch of bizarre photo editing.

The fashion star made her runway debut back in 2016 after being discovered on Instagram by artist Nick Knight, and her career has been rocketing up ever since.

She even featured in the Fenty Puma by Rihanna show at New York Fashion Week on Sunday.

The model, who once described herself to Alive magazine as ‘not a boy or a girl, just a creature,’ seems to have tried every strange beauty trend out there – and then some.

She often takes to splashing her face with watered-down dark foundation to mimic the look of freckles, and is also known to draw on her eyebrows as dotted lines, hearts, squiggles and even tiny stick people.

Adding on: She has become known for dotting herself with fake freckles, drawing in her brows with odd creations and even faking a gap in her teeth

All that glitters: She is also rarely seen without her metallic grills, which she referred to as her 'favorite thing' in an interview with Vogue

In an interview with Vogue earlier this year, Jazzelle revealed that she used to just bleach her brows, but after the effect began bleaching her skin as well she decided to shave them off altogether.

‘It’s 10 times easier, looks better, and make-up goes on a lot smoother,’ she said.

The model is also rarely seen without her trademark gilted smile, assisted by gold and silver grills.

‘I have a bottom grill, too, but it makes me talk with a lisp, so I don’t wear them the whole time,’ she said. ‘They’re my favorite thing. I won’t leave my house without them.’

On top of her ever-present grills, Jazelle also sometimes takes to creating a false gap in between her two front teeth with a black insert, before flashing her altered smile for a selfie.

And that’s not the only thing she has used to alter her look. Many images on her Instagram account have been edited to give herself pointy elf-like ears among other otherworldly additions.

As for her famous Instagram handle, UglyWorldwide, Jazelle explains in a recent Oyster magazine video that she took on the name after a friend dubbed her drawings of unique characters ‘ugly.’

As strange as all these things may seem, they have added up to success for the 21-year-old, who is certain to be a regular sight on the pages of magazines and the Fashion Week runways for the foreseeable future.
