Meet the 10 Miss BumBum World 2019 contestants ahead of the global competition next month

Miss BumBum hopefuls don teeny bikinis and barely-there swimwear as the controversial Brazilian pageant opens to international contestants for the first time. 

The contest will take place on September 30th in Mexico City, and will see females from across the world, including the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Spain, France, Germany, Portugal, Mexico and Brazil, flaunt their pert posteriors and battle it out to win the title of the world’s best bottom.

One of the favourites tipped to claim the crown for her country is Sheyla Mell, who will represent Mexico. 

The hopefuls will be competing for endorsement deals worth 50,000 BRL, which is approximately the equivalent of £9,835, and the chance of instant stardom after taking part in the contest.

The highly anticipated event, will be held at the Foro Totalplay venue in the central Mexican capital at the end of the month.

However, the Miss BumBum event was previously held in Brazil when it was a national competition, but it is now going global.  

The competition was set up by entrepreneur Cacau Oliver, 40 from Brazil, who was inspired by a similar French competition. 

The website explains: ‘The idea of the contest was inspired by “Show Me Your Sloggi”, which happens in France.’  

‘There were 8 successful editions in Brazil, 216 participants, many of them became national and international celebrities after their participation.’  

Leia Lee, who reportedly lives in the Brazilian state of Amazonas, will represent Germany when she goes head to head with Sheyla in a few weeks time.

Another contestant vying for the highly-coveted title is Shirley Correa, who will try to claim the Miss BumBum World crown for her adoptive country Spain.

Brazilian-born model Rayane Laura Souza, who graduated in medicine from a university in Bolivia, where she lives and works as a doctor, will represent France in the competition as both her parents are French.

While Bruna Valentim will proudly flaunt her toned physique in the hope of being named the first ever Miss BumBum World winner for the USA.

Jessica Lopes will be taking part on behalf of the UK, while Stephanie Silveira hopes to win the contest for Portugal.

Suzy Cortez will also go head to head with Daisy and Jessica to take home the global title after winning the national competition in 2015

Daisy Lima will represent Canada, while Jessica Jensen will try to claim the crown for Australia.

Another favourite who is said to fare well in the competition is the Brazilian representative, Suzy Cortez, who won Miss BumBum in 2015. 

But there is one vital rule the contestants must adhere to, and it is they must not have had any surgery on their bottoms – although cosmetic procedures carried out on other areas of the body are allowed. 

The competition states: ‘Participants may have performed cosmetic surgeries on any part of the body, except for the buttocks.’
