In the 1978 film Grease, the Pink Ladies – played by Stockard Channing, Didi Conn, Jamie Donnelly and Dinah Manoff – are a group of high school greasers in 1958.
The new show is a prequel to the movie and tracks the formation of the clique in 1954, allowing for a whole new set of characters.
Marisa, Tricia, Cheyenne and Ari lead the cast as a quartet of girls who found the Pink Ladies, named after the color of their famous bomber jackets.
On the fittingly pink carpet for the premiere of their new show, the four of them glowed as the shutterbugs snapped away at them.

Based on a 1972 Broadway musical of the same name, the original 1978 Grease movie catapulted its leads John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John to global fame.
Maxwell Caulfield, who starred in Grease 2 opposite Michelle Pfeiffer, attended the premiere of the new show with his wife of over four decades Juliet Mills.
He also enjoyed a warm reunion with his Grease 2 castmate Adrian Zmed, who played the head of the Pink Ladies’ male counterparts, the T-Birds.
Meanwhile Liza Minnelli’s little sister Lorna Luft, who played one of the Pink Ladies in Grease 2, whipped out her old on-theme jacket to celebrate the new series.
Garrett Clayton clove to the theme in a bubblegum ensemble, Amber Ruffin cut a sprightly figure in a lime green suit over a sunny yellow blouse.
Madison Thompson showcased her statuesque frame in a perfectly fitted navy gown that plunged to betray a hint of cleavage.
Kept Boy actress Vivian Lamolli wore a statement cape with the words ‘SUPER,’ ‘LATINA,’ ‘WORTHY,’ and ‘PODEROSA’ (‘powerful’) stitched into the lining.
Meanwhile Niamh Wilson, one of the cast members of the show, flashed a bit of leg while posing up against a throwback car.
