The athlete first shot to fame with her enviable success out on the basketball court

Anna’s basketball career took off when she joined the Lady Lions and became a consistent starter during her four-year stint on the team.

But earlier this month she announced that she would be looking to transfer elsewhere, finishing her impressive Penn State career with averages of 5.3 points and 2.8 rebounds per game across 111 contests.

In a statement about starting a new venture, she wrote: ‘I will forever bleed blue and white and cheer on the Nittany lions. Happy Valley will always be my home.

‘I cannot thank the community enough for how it has embraced me throughout these four years and will miss you all more than you could possibly understand.

‘Every hug, high five, and smile will stay with me forever.

‘To my teammates.. go give ’em hell. I will always be rooting for you and am just one call away. Family for life.’

Last year, she wrote about how she sometimes struggled to live in the present.

Sharing images from Penn State’s Sport Business Conference, where she was a guest speaker, she wrote: ‘Not pictured: The three mental breakdowns I had this week.

‘One thing I struggle with is being where my feet are; my mind is constantly on ‘go’ mode.

‘I’m slowly learning that often times we are living in answered prayers and don’t even realize it.’

She concluded by addressing her followers directly, adding: ‘This is your reminder to take some deep breaths, write down 10 things you’re grateful for, and enjoy the season of life you are in at this moment.’

Similarly, posting a picture of herself attending the NIL Summit awards, she wrote: ‘Full transparency… half of this event I was anxious, nauseous, and second-guessing everything I said to each individual I talked to (yes, it’s actually true).

‘This whole week I’ve had people come up to me saying things like “you’re so confident”, “you’re so good at talking to everyone”, and “you’re just a natural at this stuff.” I’m telling y’all… absolutely no one has it all together all the time, regardless of how composed they may seem.’

Anna is now trying to channel her online presence into a thriving career in the media industry – and she has already made an impressive start.

In 2021, she launched her own podcast – called ‘Courtside with Camden’ – to share ‘real conversation about the rollercoaster that is life and everything that comes with it.’

‘I’m learning every single day but this feels like a pretty cool milestone.’

And it seems the venture has been going from strength to strength as she has since been joined by a whole host of athletes including NFL players Jahan Dotson and Trace McSorley.

But she has not stopped there – and has also featured as a special guest on other podcasts since, including for brand Limitless.

In it, she addressed why representation matters as she attempts to use her platform for good.

The basketballer told the hosts: ‘You have little girls who grow up thinking that it’s not cool to be a female athlete. That is so foul. That is horrible.

‘You have people arguing against equality because there’s not as much participation in women’s sports, would you want to play women’s sports?

‘Would you want to go read a comment section and then play women’s sport? Probably not.

‘So I think it’s so important because representation matters.’
