Tegan said the cake that ‘started it all’ was her amazing Millennium Falcon cake from the Star Wars series, which had its own stand, took over a week to make and featured incredibly detailing with LED lights installed in the back.

More recently she has baked a VB beer bottle cake, the Harry Potter book cake, the Harry Potter sorting hat cake, the Nike shoe cake and chicken parmigiana cake.

‘It’s always challenge creating a replica of something in the form of a cake because I need to consider size, shape, weight and whether it will stand up,’ she said.

On TikTok the talented baker has gained a following of more than 436,000 people, with many of her videos going viral once shared.

On average Tegan said the unique cakes take between two and five days to make.

The kitchen itself is only a small 4×4 space, but inside is filled with two ovens, two fridges, shelving, a silver bench top and all the baking equipment needed.

Another impressive bake was the Disney Pixar robot Wall-E cake Tegan made for a first birthday party.

Tegan began by planning the design and gathered the core ingredients needed,  including fondant, edible dust, edible paint, ganache, sponge cake and polystyrene foam.

She said the cake was made in ‘stages’ and first made the eyes by covering polystyrene foam with fondant and ganache then added the detailing with edible paint.

‘I used foam inside the eyes as I had to make them ahead of time and I also needed them to be as light as possible,’ she said.

‘I considered using rice crispy treats but they would’ve turned stale too quickly.’

Next she made the robot body using white chocolate mud cake and ganache, then made the side wheels using triangular pieces of cake.

The final stage was making the arms and hands using fondant.

To add the rusted look Tegan painted the cake with edible dust and edible paint.

‘I was so pleased with how the cake turned out and when I dropped it off to the customer she cried when she saw it,’ Tegan said.

On other occasions, the cakes have looked so realistic guests have not realised the pieces were edible.

Tegan said she previously made a bird perched on a log and fish wall mount, which both were mistaken to be real objects.

At her own wedding she also made three ‘pot plant’ cakes and placed bouquets of flowers in them, and several guests asked her where the wedding cake was.

Tegan’s number one tip when baking in the kitchen is to avoid cutting corners and use your time wisely.

‘When I cut corners trying to save time, I usually end up needing to do it the long way to get it right anyway, so it’s best to try and get it done correctly the first time,’ she said.

She also recommends ‘choosing the right time to experiment’ and avoid experimenting when under pressure.
