Megan McKenna insists she’s glad she never had breast implants despite considering surgery

Megan McKenna insists she’s glad she never got a boob job after considering going under the knife once she’d found fame as a reality television star.

The former TOWIE cast member, 29, claims she ‘loves’ how she looks today but admitted she hasn’t always felt great about her body,

She told The Sun on Sunday: ‘Back in the day I definitely considered getting my boobs done.

‘Maybe it was the crowd and the TV shows I was on that were making me feel like I needed that. But I am so happy I didn’t have that done, because I love my boobs now.’

However, singer Megan, who won The X Factor: Celebrity in 2019, says people often ask about her bottom as they think she’s had implants.

‘I do get a lot of compliments about my bum,’ she said. ‘They say it’s really plump and big. ‘And they always say to me, ‘Have you had it done?’ And I’m like, ‘How dare you? No!”

Megan said she wishes people would embrace their natural looks more, adding that she is mostly complimented for having no plastic surgery.

Screen star Megan has appeared on a number of television shows over the years, including on Britain’s Got Talent art of music duo Harmony in 2009, on series three and four of Ex on the Beach in 2013 and 2014, Celebrity Big Brother in 2016, and Celebs Go Dating in 2019.

But she has now found success as a country music singer, supporting Sir Tom Jones, 81, on his tour last autumn.

However, fame has come at a cost for Megan – she’s had to deal with a torrent of online abuse from cruel trolls.

She claims the web bullies will target her for anything and they recently taunted her for seemingly having six toes when she stood with her foot at a strange angle on stage.

The media personality said: ‘There was a photo of my foot and obviously my bone was at the side and it looked like a sixth toe,’ adding: ‘These are the things the trolls would just create some huge drama about.’

Megan has been diagnosed with celiac disease which sees the immune system react to gluten.

She also suffers from irritable bowel syndrome and says her weight can fluctuate, leading trolls do accuse her of ‘smoking crack’, something she strongly denies.  

Megan said: ‘With celiac disease your belly just flares up. People need to understand that.

‘Do they think I’m on some ridiculous diet trying to lose weight? Maybe you should step back a minute…

”’m not there promoting a weight loss brand. People just have no filter and no heart. I don’t really get it.’

She added that she also gets a lot of unsolicited explicit pictures sent to her on social media, a situation she has blasted as ‘ridiculous’.

Meanwhile, Megan opened up about her split from her businessman boyfriend Josh Riley, 28, after 20 months of dating, insisting she’s in no rush to find love again.

She said she’s not letting society’s pressure to get married and have children get to her as ‘I feel like my life hasn’t even started yet’.

The star said she wants to focus on her career and would one day love to travel the world on a tour bus as a singer and crack America.

Elsewhere, Megan says she is no longer in touch with many of her fellow former TOWIE co-stars.

She said many of them wanted to be friends with her to further themselves on social media and ‘get a few likes’.

However, while she is still friends with James Argent, she insists she’d rather spend time at home with her family than have ‘1,000 celebrity friends’.
